Rhett Ricart

Mr. Rhett Ricart graduated in 1978 with a degree in marketing from The Ohio State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. A lifetime member of the community, Ricart and his three children, Jared, Raleigh, and Katie reside in Columbus.

Rhett Ricart has also demonstrated considerable dedication to the Columbus community. Rhett assisted his brother Fred with the Scared Stiff/Bio Power program for children, a motivational, anti-drug program. Mr. Ricart is also involved in the Columbus Sports Commission, as well as a Trustee for the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association; Franklin County Convention Authority and The Columbus Academy. He is also a former President of the Columbus Automobile Dealers Association. It was for Mr. Ricart's contribution to the management and success of Ricart Automotive as well as his dedication to the Columbus community that Ohio State University Business School chose him as the 1993 Ohio Businessperson of the Year.

Rhett and his brother Fred became progressively more involved in Ricart Ford, Inc. and in 1982 the Ricart brothers assumed operations of what was to become Ricart Automotive. By 1984, Rhett and Fred has assumed majority ownership in the company and by 1986, the dealership achieved the honor of top Ford Retail Dealer in the nation, an honor they held for over fifteen years as well as the largest single dealership, in the world, for four straight years. Ricart Automotive operates multiple Retail Locations in Central Ohio including Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hyundai and Kia. These product lines have also received many honors and are highly regarded in their respective regions for retail sales.
